Sintra's Natural History Museum (Museu de História Natural de Sintra)

Adjacent to the National Palace and housed in a charming former market building dating back to 1893, this museum boasts a treasure trove of over 10,000 fossils meticulously curated by Miguel and Fernanda Barbosa over five decades. Marvel at rare dinosaur fossils, including eggs, alongside an impressive array of trilobites, bivalves, and gastropods. Don't miss the star attraction: the world's sole complete Braseodactylus specimen, a remarkable flying reptile unearthed in Chapada do Araripe, Brazil.

Take the IC19 from Lisbon, IC30 from Mafra or EN9 turning off the A5 motorway to Cascais.

The Scotturb buses #434 & #435 leaves from Sintra Train station and takes you to the Old Town Sintra.
